Salsa Celtica, a Scottish group formed in 1995, is known for their fusion of salsa music with traditional Scottish instruments. The band's journey began when they visited Cuba in 1997 to study the country’s musical culture, leading to the release of their debut album Monstruos y Demonios that same year. This album received critical acclaim and marked their breakthrough in the music scene. Salsa Celtica has since toured extensively across Scotland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, North America, and parts of Southeast Asia. They have performed at numerous festivals including T in the Park, Celtic Connections, Glastonbury Festival, and the Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations in 1998, which was broadcast live on UK television. Their third album El Agua De La Vida reached number 5 on the World Music Chart of Europe in 2003.
