Ellen and The Escapades was an acoustic/pop/rock band from Leeds, England. Formed in 2009, they gained early recognition when selected by BBC Introducing to perform at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival the same year. In 2010, Ellen and The Escapades won the Q Magazine / Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, leading to performances on three of Glastonbury's main stages. Their debut album, All The Crooked Scenes, was released in 2012, featuring notable singles such as "This Ace I've Burned" and "The World's Greatest". The band also played at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in August 2012. Despite their success, Ellen and The Escapades announced their breakup in February 2015 via Facebook.
