Scarred by Beauty was a Danish hardcore band from Copenhagen, Denmark, formed in 2006. Their lineup consisted of Daniel Leszkowicz on guitar, Dennis Leszkowicz on drums, Jonathan "Joller" Albrechtsen on lead vocals, Asser Topp-Mortensen on guitar, and Chris Kreutzfeldt on bass. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of the demo The Heritage of Ash (2008) and the We Swim EP (2009). Scarred by Beauty won the Talent of the Year award at the Danish Metal Awards in 2009 and released the self-financed debut album Sutra (2011). The band toured extensively across Europe and China, supporting notable artists such as The Black Dahlia Murder, I Killed the Prom Queen, Gojira, and Meshuggah. In 2011, Scarred by Beauty completed three European tours and one Danish tour, followed by a tour in China with The Kandidate in 2012. Their final album, Cape Zero (2013), was released on Screaming Records and Redfield Records.
