Daybreak, a South Korean rock band formed in 2007, emerged from Seoul with founding members Lee Won‑suk (vocals), Jung Yu‑jong (guitar), Kim Sun‑il (bass), Kim Jang‑won (keyboard), and guest drummer Hong Jun. The group debuted on 18 September 2007 with the studio album Urban Life Style, featuring tracks such as "Man" and "Bumper Car". In 2010, they expanded their catalog with the EP New Day and the album Aurora, which included "Fantasy Love Actually" and "Immortal Summer". Their 2012 release Spaceensum continued their blend of K‑indie and rock, while 2016’s With consolidated their sound and garnered attention for songs like "SILLY" and "Mellow Peacefully Tonight". Throughout their career, Daybreak performed at major events, including the Grand Mint Festival in 2020, and maintained a presence on Korean charts with singles such as "A doll's dream" (2025) and "Serenade Blue" (2025). The band signed with Seoul Records and later Happy Robot Records, achieving consistent digital sales and a dedicated fan base. Daybreak’s discography reflects a steady evolution within the Korean indie-rock scene, marking them as a notable contributor to the genre’s development.
