Psyclones, an experimental industrial band from the United States, was formed in 1980 by vocalist-guitarist Brian Ladd, bass guitarist Julie Frith, drummer Po (Robert) Poston, and rhythm guitarist Dale Cairnes. The group played a sound that spanned punk, post-rock, synth-pop, and electronic industrial music. Their first albums, Between space and Psyclones, were released in 1985. In 1987, they released Impromptu. The band's career spanned over a decade, with the release of their compilation album Greatest Hits 1981-1991 in 1991. Psyclones disbanded later that year. After disbanding, their music was released on compilations such as Tape Music 1980-1984 in 2021.
