Sladkiy Son, a Soviet and Russian music group popular in the 1990s, was formed at the end of 1989 by producer Vladimir Maslov. The initial lineup included Aleksei Svetlichny as the soloist, Oleg Khromov, and Sergei Vasyuta. Their debut album Magneto featured six to seven songs. The group disbanded shortly after, with Khromov and Vasyuta releasing their own albums in 1991. In the mid-1990s, Maslov attempted to revive the group but faced legal challenges from Vasyuta, who claimed authorship of most of the group's songs. Vasyuta continued to promote Sladkiy Son, releasing albums such as Сладкий сон в Германии and Концерт в Германии, and performing extensively in Germany and at corporate festivals in Russia.
