Itaca Band, a Spanish group from Montcada i Reixac, Catalonia, formed in 2006. The band's lineup solidified in 2008 with the addition of Pere Mercader and Pau Lobo. Their early breakthrough came in 2009 when they won the Connecta prize, leading to their debut album La selva (2011). In 2013, Itaca Band released their second album Rema, which included the track "Rema" selected as one of Enderrock’s 10 Songs of the Year. They signed with Propaganda Pel Fet! and gained notable success in festivals. Their third album Temerario (2015) was recorded at Can Pardaler studios and featured collaborations with Txarango and Los Barrankillos. The band's fourth studio album Explosiva (2017) included the single "Com si no hi havas demà" featuring members of other groups.
