Pound was an American rock band from Poughkeepsie, New York. Formed in the early 1990s, they initially gained attention as a glam metal band before signing with EMI Music Publishing in the late 1990s. Their first full-length album Same Old Life, which came out on 1999 via Island Records and was produced by Tom Lord-Alge. The lead single from the album, "Upside Down", reached number 16 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart that year. After leaving Island Records in 2000, Pound reconstituted as Flywheel.
