Campo de Almas, a rock band from Peru, was formed in July 1994 in Trujillo. The group gained early traction with their first two singles, "Solo" and "Paseo maldito", which were played on local radio stations. In 2000, Campo de Almas released their self-titled debut album Campo de Almas, produced by Luis “Wicho” García. The band achieved significant success in 2001 when three videos from the same production—"Tus alas caerán", "Miedo a volar" and "Cuando pienso y estoy solo"—were featured on MTV Hispanoamérica, with "Tus alas caerán" receiving a nomination at the South by South West festival. The band announced a hiatus in March 2010 but reunited for various performances, including a concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album. In June 2013, they officially returned with their original lineup and released Contraluz in October 2015, featuring the single "Cada minuto" which utilized innovative video 360 technology.
