Yoshi di Original's debut on the French rap scene dates back to the early 2000s. He began by cobbling together his first tracks before performing live in 2005, at open-mic sessions on specialized stages. The rapper was still a BTS communications student when he recorded his first album, Éclosion, self-produced and released in 2007. He took part in numerous springboard competitions, battles such as Rap Contenders and improvisation contests, collaborated with Congolese artists such as Papa Wemba, and American artists such as Amelia Ray, as well as working with Jamalski and Blake Worrell from Puppetmastaz. Between 2008 and 2010, Yoshi was less active in the studio, but played on stage all over the place, alone or with his sidekick Gaïden, with whom they formed a duo that won Buzz Booster France in 2012. He also won his first End of the Weak Paris hip-hop improv challenge in 2010 and 2011. Christmas 2010 saw the arrival of Yoshi's second project, ironically entitled Trois Ans de Dur Labeur, featuring solo tracks and collaborations recorded between 2008 and 2010. In 2011, Yoshi began work on his 3rd project, Hip-Hop Momo, released in 2012 and featuring collaborations with Specta (ex-Saïan Supa Crew), Gérard Baste (ex-Svinkels), Abuz, Dee Nasty and others. Yoshi toured Paris, the provinces and abroad before the release of Yoshi Meets S.O.A.P. (2015) and C'Est Pour Vous! (2019). In 2024, his sixth album Deepa entered the French charts.
