Yellow Dog is a British-based rock band formed in the 1970s, founded by American songwriter Kenny Young along with members from his previous band Fox. The group's initial breakthrough came with their debut single "For Whatever It's Worth" and self-titled first album Yellow Dog (1977). In 1978, Yellow Dog achieved their most significant chart success with the single "Just One More Night", which reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart. This novelty song, known for its humorous telephone call ending, became their signature hit. Their second album Beware Of The Dog was released the same year alongside notable singles such as "Gee Officer Krupke" and "Little Gods". The band also appeared on television shows like The Kenny Everett Video Show, performing "Gee Officer Krupke". Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, Yellow Dog released several albums and singles, including Strangers In Paradox in 1981. However, none of their subsequent releases matched the success of "Just One More Night", and by 1981, the band quietly disbanded.
