Maxim Leonidovich Leonidov, born February 13, 1962, in Leningrad, Russian Federation, is a singer known for his contributions to beat music and rock'n'roll. He graduated from the Glinka Choral School and the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts before serving in the army. In 1983, Leonidov co-founded the popular beat-quartet Sekret, which achieved success over six years. After leaving Sekret in 1989, he began a solo career and immigrated to Israel with his first wife, Irina Selezneva, in late 1990. He returned to St. Petersburg in 1996 and continued his musical journey, releasing albums such as Командир (1996) and Дикая штучка (2009). Leonidov won the Golden Gramophone Award in 1997 for "Видение" ("Vision"). In 2015, he received the "For the Motherland" award of the First Degree. He also formed the group Hippoband in 1996, releasing notable albums like Основы Фэн-Шуя (2006).
