Son of pianist and composer Bruno Ducol, Clément Ducol was born on November 23, 1981, and followed the same musical path. He took up singing, piano and cello, before going on to study orchestration and percussion at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon. In 2009, he met singer Camille, and became her companion and collaborator on the Music Hole tour, followed by the album Ilo Veyou (2011). He also contributes to recordings by artists such as Florent Marchet, Kyrie Kristmanson, Vianney, Vincent Delerm, Nolwenn Leroy, Alain Souchon and Stephan Eicher. After scoring several shows, he composed his first film score for Léa Fazer's feature film Maestro (2014), followed by Andréa Bescond and Eric Metayer's Les Chatouilles (2018), François Ozon's Peter Von Kant (2022), Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach's Linda Veut du Poulet! (2023) and Jacques Audiard's Emilia Pérez (2024). Camille's contribution to this score won her the Cannes Soundtrack 2024 Prize, awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, and two Golden Globes, for Best Film Score and Best Original Song.
