Trine-Lise Væring, born on July 2, 1965 in Denmark, is a singer and composer. She gained initial acclaim as a jazz artist in the 1990s with People, Place, Times & Faces (1993), recorded with an all-star Scandinavian orchestra led by Fredrik Lundin. The album was nominated for a Danish Grammy Award as Jazz Album of the Year. Væring released three solo albums in the 1990s: When I Close My Eyes (1995), In So Many Words (1997), and When the Dust Has Settled (2000). She later transitioned to pop- and rock-inspired styles with Trespassing (2003) and released her first Danish-language album, Lystfisker (2008). Væring collaborated with Lundin on several projects, including the indie-jazz albums Offpiste Gurus (2010) and In Case of Fire (2016). In 2022, Væring and Lundin released their self-titled album with Tone of Voice Orchestra.
