Alexander Don Lambert, born on December 10, 1990 in North Richland Hills, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter. He began singing and playing guitar at age nine, inspired by his grandfather's country music career. Lambert gained initial recognition as a semi-finalist on the ninth season of American Idol in 2009, where he performed "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 and "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. Following his elimination, Alexander Don Lambert appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He then joined the web reality series If I Can Dream, collaborating with notable songwriters and producers. In 2010, he released the soulful pop song "I Didn't Know", which was featured in a music video and selected as an Official Webby Honoree for Best Editing. Alexander Don Lambert's songwriting credits include "Trouble" (2012) by Chris Rene and "Beautiful" on Carly Rae Jepsen’s album Kiss (2012). His debut album, Lonely Avenue, was released in 2024.
