Pamala Stanley, born on July 16, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American disco and Hi-NRG singer. She first gained attention with her 1979 debut album This is Hot, which reached number 16 on the Billboard Dance charts after being remixed by producer Rick Gianatos. Stanley's career was marked by several dance/club hits, including "I Don't Want to Talk About It" (1983), co-written by her brother James Lee Stanley, and "Coming Out of Hiding" (1984). Notable collaborations include duets with Paul Parker on "Stranger (In A Strange Land) / Running Around in Circles" (1986), and covers such as "Rhiannon" (1988). She released multiple albums throughout her career, including It's All In The Game (2002), This is the Moment (2006), and the single "The Bank of Love" (2010). Stanley has toured regularly and has been involved in a variety of musical projects. She has also performed extensively on cruise ships, most notably, Atlantis Events.
