Daniel Rae Costello, born June 17, 1961 in Suva, Fiji, was a Fijian singer. He formed his first band in Grade 7 and released his debut solo album, Tropical Sunset, in 1979. His breakthrough came with the 1982 album Lania, which became a hit in Fiji and across the Pacific. Costello moved to Australia due to the 1987 coup and established "Tango Sound Productions" upon returning to Fiji. He recorded several albums, including collaborations with Toni Willé from the Dutch group Pussycat on the album Let The World Sing. After moving permanently to Samoa in 2014, Costello passed away on July 22, 2019. He was posthumously awarded a lifetime achievement award at the 2020 Pacific Music Awards.
