Alondra López Bentley, known professionally as Alondra Bentley, was born on January 25, 1983, in Lancaster, England. She is an English-Spanish singer-songwriter who began her musical journey under the name Ladybird, releasing demos in 2003. Bentley won the Creajoven contest in 2005 in the songwriters category. In 2009, she released her debut album Ashfield Avenue, produced by César Verdú and featuring guest musicians including Isobel Knowles and Fino Oyonarte. The album was named one of the best of the year by Mondo Sonoro, Indienauta, and Indiespot. Subsequent albums include The Garden Room (2012), Resolutions (2015), and Solar System (2018). Bentley has performed at festivals including Primavera Sound and SOS 4.8. For the Día de la Música (2009), she recorded a cover of “Crazy” with Templeton. Her discography also includes the children's album Alondra Bentley Sings for Children, It's Holidays! (2012) and the soundtrack for the film Loving Eimish (2012).
