Radaid, a musical group from Guadalajara, Mexico, was founded in 1998 by Emmanuel Macías and Saúl Ledesma. The band initially experimented with Celtic musical scales to unite diverse cultural sounds before developing their unique style. Their debut album, Radaid, was released independently in 2002, followed by Luz escondida in 2006. In 2004, Radaid made history as the first non-classical music group to perform at the Degollado Theater in Guadalajara. The band's subsequent albums include L'Intent (2009), The Willing (2012), and Alkemia (2018). Notable performances include their appearance at the Opening Ceremony of the 2011 Parapan American Games on November 12, 2011. Radaid's music blends pre-Hispanic sounds with world music, indie, and contemporary electronic elements, utilizing both modern and traditional instrumentation.
