Kezia Lily Rose "Kizzy" Crawford-Southgate, known as Kizzy Crawford, is a Bajan-Welsh singer and songwriter born in Oxford. She began writing songs at 13 after moving to Wales with her family. Crawford's career started with winning the Arts Connect Original Singer-Songwriter prize in 2012, leading to collaborations with Amy Wadge, including recording her first single "Starling" and its video. Her debut EP Temporary Zone was released in December 2013 by Cardiff record label See Monkey Do Monkey. In 2014, Crawford signed with BDi Music and performed at various festivals, including Glastonbury. She released the single "Shout Out / Yr Alwad" in 2015, which was featured in the Visit Wales 2015 National TV & Online Campaign. In 2016, Crawford collaborated with jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock on Birdsong - Can Yr Adar, released via Basho Records. The album was listed as a top 100 2018 album by jazz journalist Ted Gioia. She released her debut Welsh album Rhydd in November 2021.
