Rex Dallas, born Frederick Amos Doble on November 6, 1938, in Wallerawang, New South Wales, Australia, was a country musician and singer. He inherited a love for bush poetry from his grandfather and began his music career at the age of 15 with an appearance on local radio station 2LT Lithgow. In 1960, Dallas released his first single, "Bicycle Wreck", for EMI Records. Throughout the early 1970s, he toured extensively with his band, the Dallas Cowboys. Notable albums include Yodelling Mad (1979) and We Dig Coal (1991). In 1981, a television documentary featured his touring show, highlighting his contributions to Australian country music.
