Nacho Rodríguez is an Argentine singer-songwriter best known as a founding member of the indie-folk band Onda Vaga. Born in Buenos Aires, he took his first steps in the local music scene playing with the band Doris, which blended folk, rock, and Latin rhythms. After Doris split in 2007, along with his friends, he co-founded Onda Vaga, a band that quickly gained a cult following in Argentina and beyond for their breezy, Latin-flavored pop tunes. Their debut album, Fuerte y Caliente (2008), became an instant hit in the local indie scene, showcasing Rodríguez's talent for crafting heartfelt lyrics and infectious melodies. The success continued with albums like Espíritu Salvaje (2010) and Magma Elemental (2013), solidifying Onda Vaga as a staple in Latin American music. Simultaneously, Nacho Rodríguez also participated in the popular indie groups Alvy, Nacho y Rubin, whose debut album Interpretan a Los Campos Magnéticos (2011) offered Spanish covers of songs by the Magnetic Fields, and Nacho y Los Caracoles, with whom he released the albums Nacho y Los Caracoles (2008) and Nacho y Los Caracoles II (2010). La Destrucción Total, his debut album, was released in 2017 and was followed by En Casa (2021), Radio Cáhuil I & II (2022), and Double Rainbow (2024), recorded alongside Ezequiel Borra under the name Por ejemplo ahora.
