Paula Temple is a British techno DJ and producer who was born in Manchester. She began producing music as a teenager and worked for the specialist shop Action Records before starting a full-time music career. She released her debut EP, The Speck of the Future, (2002) through the label Materials. Following a hiatus from the music industry between 2003 and 2011, during which she focused on developing the MXF8 MIDI controller and conducting Ableton Live workshops, she returned to performance in 2013. Her subsequent recordings include the EPs Colonized (2013), Deathvox (2014), and Oscillate (2015). In 2015, Temple founded the record label Noise Manifesto, where she prioritizes the representation of women and transgender artists. She released her debut studio album, Edge of Everything, (2019) to critical acclaim; the recording features twelve tracks of industrial techno that critique unethical leadership and outdated social hierarchies.
