A former radio host and hard rock fan, Philippe Dhondt then became a producer. First with Pleasure Game in 1991, then with the Boris project in 1991. Not devoid of poetry and humor, Boris invited the whole of France to his famous "Soirée disco", a parody of the world of discotheques, which reached number one in France in March 1996. The album Boris was also a success, with the two new hits "Miss camping" and "La lettre". The father of Boris returned in 1997 with Phenomenal Club and the immense "Il est vraiment Phénoménal" .
