Margie Adam (born 1947 in Lompoc, California) was an American singer, pianist, and songwriter. Her parents introduced her to music; she graduated from UC Berkeley in 1971 and began performing at the Sacramento Women’s Music Festival in 1973. Margie Adam's debut album, Songwriter (1977), was followed by Naked Keys: Solo Piano Performances (1980), We Shall Go Forth! (1980), Here Is A Love Song (1982) and Avalon (2001). Her 1977 performance of "We Shall Go Forth" at the National Women’s Conference in Houston became a lesbian anthem and was archived by the Smithsonian in 1980. In 1997, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Women’s Music Festival.
