Lenny Kuhr, born Helena Hubertina Johanna Kuhr on February 22, 1950, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, is a singer-songwriter. Kuhr started a career in 1967, performing songs in the French chanson tradition. In 1969, Kuhr represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest with the self-composed song "De troubadour" (1969), featuring lyrics by David Hartsema and an orchestra conducted by Franz de Kok. The singer tied as one of the four winners that year. In the early 1970s, Kuhr found more success in France than in the Netherlands, touring with Georges Brassens in 1970 and achieving a top 10 hit in France with "Jesus Christo" (1971). The biggest hit in the Netherlands came in 1980 with "Visite" (1980), performed with the French group Les Poppys. The artist released subsequent albums such as Fadista (2001) and Lenny Kuhr (2022).
