Marianne Pousseur, born December 1, 1961, in Verviers, Belgium, is a singer and actress. She studied classical singing at the Liege Conservatory and performed with ensembles like Collegium Vocale Gent under Philippe Herreweghe. In 1992, she participated in a film adaptation of Arnold Schönberg's Pierrot lunaire, released on CD through Harmonia Mundi France. Pousseur has collaborated with notable ensembles such as the Ensemble intercontemporain and performed works like Salvatore Sciarrino's Infinito nero at the Autumn Festival in Paris. Her recording of Sciarrino’s Lohengrin won the MIDEM Classical Awards in 2009. Pousseur has also worked on theatrical productions, including John Cage's Songbooks. She has taught singing and lyric art at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
