Helen Stellar, a US musical group from Los Angeles, was formed in Chicago in 2000 by Jim Evens, Clif Clehouse, and Steve Bishop. After moving to Madison, Wisconsin, they released their debut EP The Newton EP in 2001, which was played by DJ Nic Harcourt on his radio program Morning Becomes Eclectic. In 2002, Helen Stellar recorded their second EP Below Radar. The band's lineup changed with Dustin Robles joining as the new bass player in 2004 and Eli Lhymn on guitar in 2009. Their song "IO (This Time Around)" from Below Radar was featured in films including Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown (2005), Henry Poole is Here (2008), and Love Happens (2009). In 2010, Helen Stellar released their first full-length album If The Stars Could Speak, They Would Have Your Voice.
