Domenico Nordio, born on March 21, 1971 in Piove di Sacco, Italy, is a violinist. He studied with Corrado Romano and Michèle Auclair. At 16, he won the Vercelli "Viotti" International Competition. Further successes included the Thibaud in Paris and Eurovision in 1988. Nordio has performed at venues worldwide, including London’s Barbican Centre, Paris’ Salle Pleyel, and New York City’s Carnegie Hall. He signed a recording agreement with Sony Music Group and released his first CD for Sony Classical in 2013. Notable albums include Six Sonatas for Solo Violin, op. 27 (2005) and Violin Concertos (2018). Nordio is the Artistic Director of the Città di Brescia International Violin Competition, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions.
