Dinorah Varsi, born November 15, 1939, in Montevideo, Uruguay, was a pianist. She began her piano studies at age four and performed as a soloist by eight. In 1955, her performance of "Concerto No. 2" with the Orquesta Sinfónica del SODRE marked a significant breakthrough. Varsi continued her education under Géza Anda in the United States and won several international competitions, including the Concurso Internacional «María Canals» (1962) and the Concours International de Piano «Clara Haskil» (1967). She performed with notable orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic. Her discography includes albums like Lekeu, Vieuxtemps, Ysaÿe - Works For Violin And Piano (1974) and The Late Piano Music (1995). Varsi passed away on June 17, 2013, in Berlin.
