Daniel Benyamini, born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1925, was a prominent Israeli violist. He began his musical journey at the Shulamit Conservatory. Benyamini's career took off when he became the principal violist of the Israel Philharmonic from 1960 to 1990. During this period, he also held the same position at the Orchestre de Paris under Daniel Barenboim. Throughout his career, Benyamini was active as a soloist and chamber musician, collaborating with various artists internationally. In the final two years of his life, he served as a professor at the newly founded Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. Benyamini passed away in 1993.
