Helga Papouschek, born July 27, 1941 in Vienna, Austria, is a singer and actress. She began her career as a ballet student at the Raimund Theater in Vienna before transitioning to acting and singing. Papouschek's breakthrough came when Marcel Prawy engaged her for the Vienna Volksoper, where she performed notable roles, including Briefchristl in Carl Zeller's Der Vogelhändler and Valencienne in Franz Lehár's Die lustige Witwe. She also starred as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and in the title role of Kiss Me Kate. Papouschek's career extended to various theaters, including the Theater in der Josefstadt, the Burgtheater Vienna, the Volkstheater Vienna, and the Vienna State Opera. Her discography includes albums like Das Herz Der Wiener Operette (1973) and Einen Kleinen Augenblick (1975).
