Greenskeepers is an American indie rock and new wave band from Chicago founded in 1999 by childhood friends James Curd and Nick Maurer. Their initial release was the extended play Whats Your Man Got To Do With Gan, featuring the standout song “Low & Sweet” (2001), which reached number 24 in DJ John Peel's Festive Fifty. In early 2001, they recorded the international club hit “Should I Sing Like This?” (2001). After Maurer moved to Germany, Curd collaborated with Mark Share on their debut studio album, The Ziggy Franklin Radio Show. Their song “Lotion” (2004) reached number 90 in the Triple J Hottest 100. In 2005, the four-piece lineup released the studio album Pleetch (2005) and performed a standout set at a Miami music conference. They followed this with the two-disc album Polo Club, featuring a cover of “I Want A New Drug”, which appeared in the film What Happens in Vegas. Their track “Vagabond” appeared in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV. From 2008, the name represents Curd as a solo artist.
