Dressy Bessy is an American indie rock band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 1996 by Tammy Ealom. The group initially included Darren Albert and Rob Greene. Guitarist John Hill joined in 1997. Dressy Bessy released their first single "Ultra Vivid Color" (1997) and the EP You Stand Here (1998), followed by the single "Sunny" (1999). Their debut full-length album, Pink Hearts Yellow Moons, was released in 1999. The band's music gained attention with songs like "If You Should Try to Kiss Her" and "Just Like Henry", which were featured in the 1999 film But I'm a Cheerleader. Further releases include The California EP (2000) and the albums SoundGoRound (2002) and Dressy Bessy (2003). In late 2003, drummer Darren Albert left the band. Dressy Bessy signed to Transdreamer Records in 2005 and released their fourth album, Electrified. Other notable albums include Holler and Stomp (2008), Kingsized (2016), and Fast Faster Disaster (2019).
