Cinematic is a German studio project from Hennef an der Sieg. The band was formed in the early 1990s. Helmuth Rüßmann and Willi Stumm are behind the project. Helmuth Rüßmann previously worked as a producer with Andreas Martin, BAP and Brings, among others. Willi Stumm is also involved in Wolfgang Petry's project Die längste Single der Welt - Teil 2. Cinematic specializes in dance and Eurodance versions of well-known German film melodies. The project combines movie hits with the typical 1990s sound of synthesizers, beats and remix elements. In 1993, the single "Unser Lied (La le lu)" was released with the voices of Heinz Rühmann and Oliver Grimm. The title is based on the song from the 1955 film Wenn der Vater mit dem Sohne (When Father and Son). The single becomes the project's biggest success. In Germany, the song reaches number 11 in the singles charts. In Austria, the production climbed to number 8. "Ein guter Freund" with Heinz Rühmann followed in 1994. The song originally came from the 1930 film Die Drei von der Tankstelle and reached number 45 in the German charts. In 1995, Cinematic released the singles "Die Made" with lyrics by Heinz Erhardt and "High Noon".
