Melissa Walker, born July 3, 1964, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is an American jazz singer. She sang with her sisters in soul groups and studied law, management, and African studies at Brown University. In the late 1980s, she received vocal training from notable instructors such as Ronnie Wells, Ron Ellison, Norman Simmons, and vocal coach Yvonne Hachet. Walker performed with Wynton Marsalis at the Lincoln Center and appeared at international festivals like JazzFest Berlin. She released May I Feel with Gary Bartz and her then-husband Terell Stafford in 1997, and I Saw The Sky featuring Kenny Barron and Makoto Ozone in 2001. Her album In the Middle of It All was released in 2009 under Sunnyside Records.
