Ellisa Meriam Bellina Maria Bamboe, known professionally as Meriam Bellina, and born on April 10, 1965, in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, is an actress and singer. She began her career as a model and actress while studying at Dago Catholic High School. Her breakthrough came with the release of her debut album Symphoni Rindu in 1983. Throughout the mid-1980s, Bellina released several albums including Kerinduan (1985), Begitu Indah (1986), and Aku Percaya (1988). In 1987, she starred in the film Catatan Si Boy which further boosted her popularity. Bellina's music career saw a resurgence in the late 1980s and early 1990s with albums like Album Idola Meriam Bellina (1990). She also ventured into television series during this time, receiving an award for her role in Aku Mau Hidup in 1994.
