Ehud Weiner, also known as Ehud Manor, born on July 13, 1941, in Binyamina, was an Israeli songwriter, television host, poet, translator, and radio broadcaster. He began his career in the 1960s as a musical editor for Israel radio, adopting the surname Manor. During his career, he wrote lyrics for over 1,250 Hebrew songs, including "Ein Li Eretz Acheret" and "Brit Olam". Notable works include "Ba-Shanah ha-Ba'ah", which became an international standard, and several Israeli Eurovision Song Contest entries, such as the 1978 winner "Abanibi". In addition to his songwriting, Manor was a successful translator, adapting over 600 works into Hebrew. He received the Israel Prize for Hebrew song in 1998 and was posthumously awarded an honorary doctorate from Bar-Ilan University. Manor passed away on April 12, 2005, at the age of 63.
