Ira Losco is a Maltese singer and songwriter born on 31 July 1981 in Sliema. She began her musical journey in 1997 with the college band Tiara and released the album Hi-Infidelity (2001) before they split. She achieved her professional breakthrough representing Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the track “7th Wonder” (2002), where she placed second. Losco issued several studio albums, including Someone Else (2004), Accident Prone (2005), Unmasked (2006), and Fortune Teller (2008). In 2008, the Maltese government awarded her the Midalja għall-Qadi tar-Repubblika. She returned to Eurovision in 2016 with the single “Walk on Water” (2016), placing number 12. She released the double album No Sinner No Saint (2018) to mark fifteen years in the industry. Losco served as a judge on the inaugural season of X Factor Malta in 2018 and returned in 2019. Albums include Butterfly (2001) and The Fire (2013).
