Rauno Väinämö Lehtinen, born on April 7, 1932, in Tampere, Finland, was a versatile musician. In the early 1960s, Lehtinen performed with bands including the Danish group led by Bengt Ager in Stockholm. In 1962, he formed a band under his own name and a studio formation, The Vostok All Stars. Their debut album featured "Uusi Säkkijärven polkka" and "Kätketty sydän.” In 1963, Lehtinen founded Rautalanka Oy, releasing hits like "Vainikainen." He also worked as a production manager for Discophon. Lehtinen's notable compositions include "Kolibri" and "Letkis,” the latter released in 1965. His television work included directing Mainos-TV (eventually renamed MTV3) from 1967 to 1977. Lehtinen received the Pro Finlandia Medal in 1999, recognizing his significant contributions to Finnish music. He passed away on May 1, 2006, in Helsinki.
