Eri Hiramatsu, born 8 March 1964 in Japan, began her career as a pop singer in 1989. Her debut single "Niji ga kirai" marked her entry into the J‑pop scene, followed by the album TREASURE released on 21 February 1989. In the early 1990s she issued a steady stream of studio albums, including Totteoki no 20 byo (21 November 1989), My Dear (15 December 1990), and redeem (27 November 1991), each contributing to her growing presence on the Japanese charts. In March 1992, "Heya to Y-Shirt to Watash," a single released from the album MY DEAR, became a massive hit, selling nearly one million copies and launching her career. The 1993 release Single Is Best compiled her most successful tracks up to that point, while Hitoyo Hitoyoni yumemigoro(17 December 1993) and 7 DAYS GIRL (11 November 1994) demonstrated her versatility across ballads and upbeat pop. In 1996 she released the mini‑album Eri’s “B” Good and the single "Bibitto Dokitto Good Day", sustaining her commercial relevance.
