Bolland & Bolland, born Rob Bolland and Ferdi Bolland on April 17, 1955, and August 5, 1956 respectively in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, were Dutch music producers and brothers. They began their career as musicians, releasing their first album Florida in 1972. Their hit singles career started the same year with "Summer of '71", which followed the folk, a cappella style popularized by Simon & Garfunkel. In 1984, they released the album Silent Partners, featuring the hit single "Ten American Girls". Bolland & Bolland are known for producing and writing hits for various artists, including Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus" and Status Quo's "In the Army Now", which they originally recorded in 1981. The duo also produced several albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including The Domino Theory (1981), a concept album that critically examined war and US intervention. They released compilation album Good for Gold in 1996. Bolland & Bolland parted ways soon after.
