Dibob, a Brazilian pop punk band from Rio de Janeiro, was formed in 2001 by Miguel, Gesta, Faucom, and Dedeco. Initially created as a fun project, Dibob released their debut EP Markebra in 2003. Their breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed full-length album O Fantástico Mundo Dibob, released in 2004. The band gained further recognition for their notable performances, including a cover of "Nós Vamos Invadir Sua Praia" by Ultraje a Rigor at the MTV Video Music Brazil awards in 2005 alongside Leela, Ramirez, and Forfun. In 2007, they released A Ópera do Cafajeste and organized a show at Canecão. Dedeco left the band in 2009, with Gesta taking over lead vocals for the cover album Resgate, released in 2010. Following a hiatus from 2011 to 2015, Dibob returned to perform, including appearances at the Rio Rock Tour festival in 2020.
