Freaky Fukin Weirdoz, a German crossover metal band, was formed in 1988 with Christoph “Gringo” Jendruschewitz on bass and vocals, Thomas alias Zdenek Kotala on vocals and lyrics, Werner “Rif Kif” Ponikowski on guitar, and Katharina Müller-Elmau on drums. Their debut album F.F.W. was released in 1989 under Sub Up Records. The following year, they released their second album Weirdelic. After signing with RCA Records and adding Marco Minnemann on drums, Freaky Fukin Weirdoz released Senseless Wonder in 1992, followed by extensive touring across Germany and Austria. They also collaborated with Nina Hagen on "Hit Me (With Your Rhythm Stick)" from the 1994 album Mao Mak Maa. The band disbanded in 2001 but reunited for annual concerts between 2002 and 2006, culminating in their seventh studio album Oh My God, released in 2009.
