Secret Discovery is a German musical group from Bochum, Rhineland-Westphalia, formed in 1989 by Kai Hoffmann (vocals), Falk Hoffmann (guitar), Michael Gusky (guitar), and Mattes Glathe (bass). Their early sound drew heavily from groups like Fields of the Nephilim and The Sisters of Mercy but quickly incorporated elements of metal and hard rock. Their debut LP Way to Salvation was self-pressed in 1989. Between 1992 and 1994, they released three albums on various independent labels: Dark Line (1992), Into the Void (1993), and Wasted Dreams (1994). In 1997, they released the album Slave, which featured the cover "Slave to the Rhythm" (1997) of the Grace Jones classic. After releasing The Final Chapter in 1999, they disbanded following a successful final tour. They reformed in 2002 and released the albums Pray (2004), Alternate (2006), and Truth, Faith, Love (2023), alongside the single "Auf Wiedersehen (in Richtung Sieg)" (2014).
