Kurt Henry Heinecke, born in 1963 in Wisconsin and raised in Cullman, Alabama, is an American composer and musician. He graduated in 1982 and studied at the University of Montevallo and Luther College, earning a B.A. in band and choral conducting. After touring and teaching in the Bahamas, he settled in Lincoln Park, Chicago, becoming the Director of Church Music at Park Community Church. He met Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki, co-founders of Big Idea Entertainment, and became the music director for VeggieTales. He composed music for Big Idea productions including 3-2-1 Penguins, Jonah, and The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, receiving six Dove Awards for his work. He is a producer and arranger at Oak Valley Studios and composed the Adam Raccoon video series.
