Amelia Catherine Bennett, born June 4, 1982, in Birkenhead, Merseyside, is an English singer who performs under the stage name Slow Moving Millie. She began her artistic journey in the Royal Court's youth theatre before turning to music, writing and performing her first single, "Beasts", in 2009 for a Virgin Media commercial. In October 2011, Bennett signed with Island Records, and in November, she released the cover "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want", which was selected for the John Lewis 2011 Christmas advertisement. Her debut album, Renditions, followed later that year. In 2015, she released the EP Arms. Throughout her career, Bennett has collaborated with producers such as Fyfe Dangerfield and has composed music for advertisements and films like Mam and Mary Shelley.
