Charles Edward Salter, born in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 30, 1959, is an American singer and songwriter known as Max'C. Known for his work in electronic music, particularly house and vocal EDM, he rose to prominence in the early 2000s through collaborations with European and American producers, bringing his soulful, expressive voice to club-ready tracks that blended catchy melodies and electronic rhythms. Among his most memorable contributions was the hit "I Found U" with Swedish DJ and producer Axwell, which conquered dance scenes the world over. Since then, Max'C has continued to collaborate with house, trance and EDM producers such as Luca Cassani, Cosmic Funk, Bomfunk MC's, Dallas Superstars, Roberto Rodriguez, Nari & Milani, Chris Kaeser, Christian Marchi, Disfunktion, Fedde Le Grand, Patrik Remann, Julien Scalzo and Andy Sherman. In 2025, Andy C produced a remix of "I Found U", entitled "Believe Again (I Found U)", which reached no. 93 in the UK download charts.
