Hey there! 👋🏻. I'm glad you have stopped by to listen.
When I was 6 years old, I began to learn the guitar. I had a few lessons, then stopped. A few years later, when I was about twelve or thirteen, I started playing again. It was only one note at a time, but it was something.
I became pretty good at playing songs one note at a time and played a special item at my church one Sabbath. After that Sabbath, one of the ladies from church asked if she could pay for me to have guitar lessons, so we found a teacher and I began to have lessons.
About the same time I heard a song (The Song of the Martyr) and really wanted to play it, but it was very complicated. After a year of lessons, my teacher had successfully taught me how to play, and I even made my own version of that song I really wanted to play, but he never taught me anything on the side of theory.
I started using guitar tablature (TABS for short), which helped me advance my playing level, but while still having not understanding of why things were written or played as they were.
After that first year of lessons, I changed teachers, and my new teacher started teaching me all the theory I had missed. Once I started to understand more theory, I started arranging and writing my own TABs and music.
I had two years of lessons with my new teacher, which advanced my playing dramatically! Towards the end of those two years I started my YouTube channel, which started off slow, then as God blessed has grown a lot.
By 2020 I had finally learned the piece that started my journey in music!
