Doel Sumbang, born Abdoel Wachyoe Affandi on May 16, 1963 in Bandung, Indonesia, is a pop musician. He began his career in musical theatre on Braga Street, Bandung, where he met Remy Sylado and adopted the nickname Doel. Sumbang's music career took off with his debut album Musik Spontan Humor in 1981. He gained significant attention for his critical songs against the Orba (New Order) government, leading to a temporary ban of one of his tracks in the 1970s. His duet album with Nini Carlina "Kalau Bulan Bisa Ngomong" (If Only the Moon Could Speak), released in the 1990s, further propelled his fame. Subsequent albums include Sholehah (1999) and Lagu-lagu sumbang (2002).
